About the Author

“Before the world, aye, before the sleepy, lukewarm, faithless, namby-pamby Christian world, WE WILL DARE TO TRUST OUR GOD, we will venture our all for Him, we will live and die for Him, and we will do it with His joy unspeakable singing aloud in our hearts.” -C.T. Studd

I’m Beloved by Jesus, and also happen to be a wife, and a momma. I write because that is how my soul processes and grows. I seek to learn, to discover, and to become a bearer of good news. I find that brokenness and pain produce depth in people. I hope to be one of those people who let God transform the difficulties and pain in my life into a beautiful thing.

I traveled to Ireland in May 31-July 5 of 2011 with a team  (one of whom ended up becoming my husband!) in order to explore missions, the Irish culture, and how art can integrate with making connections with people.  To find more information about that trip, just look under the tag Ireland.

I am walking by faith, and looking toward the future. I don’t know what God has for me, but am trying to live in His will for right now. And learning to patiently wait as His guidance in my life unfolds day by day, minute by minute. I’m desperately trying to found my life on the gospel…it is the only balm to my wounds, and healing for my bones.

This blog is helping me stay connected to what God is doing in my life. It is accountability and helps me remember why I am here. It’s the resting place for my wonderings, ponderings, and thoughts.

Here are some favorites of mine:

I love walks in October rain, autumn, hot tea with a bit of cream and sugar, Jane Austen (books, movies), watercolor paints, journaling, the Bible, allegory, illustrations, quotes, and metaphors. I am passionate about discipleship, the church working as The Church, and church planting. Motives facinate me. I wonder what God has planned for me next this this Pilgrim journey.  I am interested in how the process of sanctification works.

“For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” Ro.16:19-20 Excited for you!
