reminders of glory

a sketch from last year

cello strings

open spaces

lighting up soul dances

words formed with wooden pieces

golden plates that remind us that we are

called

to eat at the King’s table.

He always fills us with good things.

I wait for words breaking human silence,

yet, still, find thankfulness in stars and hymns

‘how great is Your faithfulness’

walks in the dark

with a friend who lives in light.

prayers light up sidewalk creases and perspective

changes.

Prayer directed by the Holy One

obedience, leadership, pioneering

breath that calls to deep breath

oh help us.

You glory in redemption

Sin shall not have dominion over us.

‘YOU are NOT my master.’

that is grace to run and rest

that is grace on swings in gazebos

that is grace in beautiful courage

fearless grace.

(check out this video…it’s cello and piano instrumental is gorgeous)
